The torrential downpour in Gbeganu area of Minna, Niger State has wreaked on the community, as flood swept houses, rendering several people homeless and helpless.

The heavy downpour, which has been on since last Wednesday, has destroyed about three houses in the area and rendered many houses inaccessible.

The residents in Kutriko/Fadukwai and Gbeganu axis expressed gratitude to the governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello for the construction of the road, but appealed to him to construct a proper drainage system in the area to avoid such disaster. They said if the drainage systems were functional, the effect of the rains on those houses wouldn’t have been so much.
