Imo State born singer Esiowu Okechukwu David aka Ok David believes Nigerian music can get back to the days when lyric were revered over beats and words that have no meaning.
According to the singer who made his debut two years ago with the track ‘Do your best’ there was a time when the public would never accept just anything in the name music and anyone who is not ready to pen good words to songs was never seen as someone who is ready to do music.

“Those days are over” He said, adding that he still believes that Nigeria will still go back to those days once people are tired of hearing what everyone is singing today.
“The new trend has made us lose our gift of versatility, everyone is singing the same thing and style just to be accepted, but I know that one day, real song writers like us will drive the music industry of this country back to the basics which is where good lyrics are put above words that fade away after two months”
Ok David who is an undergraduate of Imo State University was last heard on Leeroy’s Obodo Oyibo where he took the chorus and the singer is now set to take a fresh step in his musical career with the release of a brand new single titled ‘Ada Ada’ on Friday, November 14, 2014.
“The song will be a surprise to many and I don’t want anyone to get the title twisted because it is nothing close to what Flavour did.
Mine is a different thing altogether and it has no single similarity with Flavour’s Ada Ada.
I won’t be bragging about what the song will look or sound like, but I know it is something that will show the world what I am really capable of in this industry”
