Wednesday November 21, 2018 will go down as a sad day in Imo State School system as two final year students lost their lives in what will be considered very tragic circumstances.
At the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, a final year student Kester Gabriel drowned at the Otamiri river close to the school, while in Imo State University, another final year student, Agomuo Jennifer was reported to have committed suicide after stabbing her lover.
According to reports late Kester Gabriel in the company of his brother and other friends had gone to the Otamiri River to swim when the tragedy struck.
An eye witness account had it that four of them who had gone to swim almost drowned, but three were revived and unfortunate for Kester, he could not make it.
Kester was later found in the middle of the river with his body floating according to reports.
In a similar development, it was reported that late Miss Agomuo Jennifer drank a yet to be identified poisonous substance after stabbing her lover whom she thought had died.
The report has it that both lovers were involved in a fight after a heated argument that which led to her stabbing him at their hostel located.
It was reported this morning that the boyfriend has also died and there have been several questions have been asked what students are still doing in their hostels two weeks in to ASUU nationwide strike.
