Hon. Tony Nwulu the governorship candidate of United Progressive Party, UPP in Imo and his Deputy, Dr. Nnaemeka Obiaraeri, on Saturday met with the leadership of Ezuruezu Mbaise and Mbaise Elders Council at the country home of Barrister Cy Anyanwu, Ahiazu Mbaise council area of Imo state.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Tony Nwulu ,who spoke eloquently on his ambition said it was important to interact and exchange views with the socio-cultural leaders because it will provide him the opportunity to identify areas they can confront together and the kind of resolution they are likely to embark on so that they can resolve some of these problems.”

The governorship hopeful who was well received by the respected groups made it clear that his Government will thrive on transparency and truth.

He pointed out that Imo state is beset with many problems. In fact, problems that are so grave, that are likely, if we don’t move fast enough to contain them, to bring about more untold hardship, God forbid!

The Ezinihette Mbaise born lawmaker said “It is therefore our responsibility both as socio-cultural leaders and political leaders to engage ourselves in meaningful discuss so that together we can resolve the problems confronting our dear state.

Nwulu said “We have some problems as far as our educational sector is concerned. Our health care delivery, our infrastructural deficit, name them.

“And I think without interacting and exchanging views and agreeing on how best to resolve these problems with socio-cultural leaders, political leaders or leaders of business community, we won’t be able to solve all these problems.

He further stressed that he was not desperate, and at the end of the day, he trust the will of God in Imo Governorship matters.

Nwulu who seized the platform to also donated a borehole to them mentioned a few key areas not mentioned, where he need to pay attention to: one, is the economy, health, ICT, human capital development and economy of the state.

“So, I want to thank you for giving me this opportunity to interact with you and identify areas we can confront together and what kind of resolution we are likely to embark on so that we can resolve some of these problems.”
