As different organizations and individuals celebrate with the newly sworn-in Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the National President of Abiazurumee Association of Nigeria Imo state chapter, Ezinna Sunday Ogbonna has advised the incoming administration to focus on projects that will touch the lives of the masses positively.
Ezinna Ogbonna stated this at the thanksgiving service and reception ceremony organized in honour of the newly inaugurated Governor held in Owerri recently.

According to him, after analyzing the political development in the country, his association decided go home and register for the elections which enabled them to vote in Abia state so as to reposition their state. He added that they are celebrating because of the emergence of Governor Ikpeazu who has the fear of God in him.
Ogbonna also said that Abiazurumee Association which was registered last year is a social-cultural, economic cum political but non aligned umbrella body that is open to all Abians. He noted that the group also ensures that there is deepened and codial relationship among its members and host communities within and outside the country.
He therefore urged the governor to be diligent and always seek the face of God first in whatever he is doing bearing in mind that another term awaits him should he perform optimally. He appealed to him to carry all Abians in Imo State along in his government as they are ready to work in any capacity given to them.
The Governor who was represented by Chief Victor Ebere who assured them that he will not disappoint them promising that he will take the state to a greater height.
Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Michael Nwachukwu, the coordinator of “Okezuo Abia one on one”, expressed delight that an Ngwa man has for the first time become the governor of Abia state assuring that “Abia state which has been a ghost of what it used to be and a weeping state for so long, will become the pride of the nation with the present administration”.
He however advised the governor to build a new structure around the youths, stressing that youths can be used to build the state stronger. He added that he should device ways to curb the rising unemployment rate in the state to get the youths busy. “Our youths are not empty, no matter how you see it”, he said.
He added that the governor should revitalize Aba for economic benefits and do all he can to amend their relationship with other states.
