The Governor of Imo State , Emeka Ihedioha , has signed into law three executive bills recently passed by the state House of Assembly.

The governor ’s aide on new media , Izuchukwu Akwarandu , told our correspondent in Owerri that Ihedioha had signed eight executive bills into law since he assumed office .

Akwarandu said , “Governor Emeka Ihedioha has signed into law , bills for the establishment of Imo State Sports Commission , Imo State Power and Electrification Agency and the Imo State Markets Development Authority .

“The three laws signed by the governor brought the number of executive bills signed into law since the inception of the administration to eight .”

The Deputy Governor , Gerald Irona; Speaker of the Assembly, Collins Chiji ; the Deputy Speaker , Okey Onyekamma ; the Majority Leader, Chigozie Nwaneri ; the Clerk of the House , Chinelo Emeghara and the Special Adviser on Legislative Matters to the governor , Nnaemeka Maduagwu , attended the event .
