When Imo State born power house rapper Onwudiwe Regis [a.k.a LMG] posted on his Facebook account that his next single will be featuring Enugu State based ace rapper Slowdog, the question will be simple be ‘what can the two rappers do together?
The talents of both rappers can never be overlooked as regards to the history and evolution of contemporary rap music in their various locations.
A song with the two rappers could have come earlier than now, but it will be recalled that in 2013, when LMG recorded a diss track titled ‘Caution’, Slowdog was among the rappers he mentioned in the track which was later replied by a singer.
Since then, LMG has been dubbed a controversial artiste and not just one who finds himself in the controversies, but one who creates them himself.
After the success of his single ‘One Bottle’ where he featured Ruff Coin, LMG called a quit to his controversial side and made peace with everyone, especially those he mentioned in the track, ‘Caution.
One of such is the producer of his last single Yung Rock whom he gave the line, ‘Yung Rock what da f**k’ and the list continues.
LMG is now ready to go beyond taking pictures with fellow rapper Slowdog to doing a song with the big man who is known for his Igbo lyrics and hardcore rhymes and with the Imo State University Owerri graduate being blessed with his own kind of talent, the song is expected to be something that will find it’s self in the trends easily.
LMG has already given a hint that it will be one of the best dancehall tracks that will be released this year and anything less than that will be a disappointment to the fans who are now patiently waiting.
So, if you know these rappers too well, what quality of song will you be expecting from two rap super powers?
