As people all over the world were happy celebrating this year’s Valentine day a 25 year old lady almost took her life by stabbing herself with broken bottles.
The bizarre incident which occurred at Ubogwu town Awo-Omamma had left the people of the area bewildered as to why the lady had wanted to commit suicide.
The lady who was simply identified as Miss Chinwendu was said to have stabbed herself severally on the neck, chest and shoulder with a bottle she had broken into pieces, her attempts to get a matchet earlier had failed.
Her close relations expressed shock, as she is previously not known to have had or shown any sign of psychiatric problem.
Suspicion was however rife that she might have been jilted by her lover or perhaps was under an influence of some unseen forces.
When Nigeria Newspoint further sought to know from some of her relation the possible cause of the attempted suicide, they pleaded anonymity as they expressed surprise at the development but disclosed that the family had resorted to prayers from various men of God to ward off what they feared were evil forces.
Meanwhile, the lady is reported to be recuperating at home after being discharged from one of the hospitals in the area where she was rushed to after the ugly incident.
