The Chief Executive Officer of Trade Nigeria, Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George has revealed that with the programmes lined up for 2020, his organization will get better in service delivery and human capital development.

Hon. Buchi George who spoke to Newsmen in Abuja Nigeria as the year is winding up, said 2019 has been and eventful year for them and as much as the year is yet to end, he is very optimistic that 2020 will be loaded with more activities.

He revealed that as a progressive organization, they will be taking resolutions that will see them wok at the level where they can create world-class ideas that will yield the appropriate results, adding that it is a process they have been in and he happy with what his team have done so far.

“We started from nowhere, and now, we want to create a world-class trade organization with exceptional service delivery approach. We keep getting better with each project and we know that it will surely put us there on the map”

“We’re also working on human capital development, and this is one way we want to give back to the economy to the grassroots, while also ensuring that at the top, world-class investors are attracted to the country through the international trade relationships created by our Joint Trade Missions with countries of other continents have created”

Trade Nigeria recently announced ‘Her Trade Supports Programme’, which will empower rural market women across the country with a budget of 37 Million Naira. The programme will be unveiled in December 2019, while the rest of its implementation will be in 2020.

From December 20 to 25, 2019 Trade Nigeria alongside Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment and The Presidency, Office of The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Abuja will be having the Nigeria – Korea Economic Forum in Republic of South Korea.

Alongside ‘Her Trade Supports Programme’, Trade Nigeria will be having an eventful 2020 with Nigeria – Asia Business and Economic Forum scheduled revealed as follows: China – February 17 to 28, 2020; Japan – April 23 to 30, 2020; Vietnam – June 25 – 30, 2020 and Taiwan – July 26 to 29, 2020.

2020 will also witness African – Asia Export Conference and Euro – Africa Economic Summit 2020 which will be kicking off in Finland with all events having similar goals of creating a better trade relationship between Nigeria and other countries of the world.
