It is mixed feelings for Queen Isabella Chinenye Okafor who was crowned Ada Imo this time in 2018 by the former governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
Adaimo Chinenye whose tenure is supposed to be winding up this year, will have to deal with the decision of the present government led by Chief Emeka Ihedioha to discontinue the pageant.
Dealing with some failed promises, especially a trip to London by the former governor, Queen Isabella who is a former Miss Tourism Imo, would have to live with being the last Ada Imo until something changes.
She takes to Facebook to drop a touching message, in the best way to mark one year anniversary of her crowning.

365 days ago, I was privileged to jostle and compete with my sisters for the prestigious Ada Imo crown, a platform of the Government of Imo State led by the immediate past Governor, Sen Rochas Okorocha.
This very pageant has changed my story and status as well as other privileged Young Imolites who have participated since it’s inception.
Reigning as Ada Imo has brought me closer and closer to God, it has grown my faith, belief, trust and confidence in God. I have grown to accept, trust and appreciate God’s plans for me.
Through this very prestigious platform;
I have become very much conscious and concerned about others and how to make impact at any given opportunity,
I have grown to render selfless services to others,
I dream, plan, work, sleep, wake, eat, breathe, every single thing I do and every day of my life these past 365 days is on how to promote, project, and defend my Great State Imo within and outside Imo.
I have grown to appreciate, love and connect with my Brothers and Sisters wherever I find them, especially outside my state.
I not only think of working on myself to be better but I lift the spirit of every young girl/lady in Imo State and encourage, enlighten, educate and empower them as my hands can carry the moment I come across at any slightest opportunity to do so.
“Our women are not just the pride of our state, but the gateway, through which others can see through and analyze my state and our people”.
Through this platform, I have been privileged to serve and reign under TWO GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATIONS and have learnt a WHOLE LOT about our diversities and differences, interests and ethics, strengths and weaknesses, and how in UNDERSTANDING & UNITY we can achieve the Imo of our Collective dreams, which is the core aim our Governor, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha urges us at all times to join hands in Rebuilding our Imo.
I can go on and on! It’s quite an amazing platform.
Truly, My life changed for good irrespective of the “downs” it came with, it has been a wonderful experience and I am happy to be opportuned to gain more experiences while wearing my Heavy 😂 crown through another journey.
Some will say, “of what use is the platform to the state?
The answer is “of what use is a full fledged Igbo woman (young/old) in a home? Your answer lies in my answer.
I have a WHOLE LOT to say, but I must thank God Almighty for His mighty hands upon me and for walking with me all through my TIMES AND SEASON in life especially as Ada Ndi Imo State. To Him alone be all the Glory.
Most importantly, I wish to sincerely thank and appreciate the organizers of Ada Imo Cultural Pageant from the past administration, THOUGH it was a very brief moment with you but it was remarkable.
The Rebuild Imo Administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha and his One in a Million wife, Her Excellency, Lady Ebere Ihedioha, the 1st Lady of Imo State has an open arm to all IMOLITES, TO BE SINCERE, I HAVE BEEN SCARED TO GO CLOSE TO FEEL THE WARMTH OF THEIR EMBRACE because in my state, even the air we breath is politicised…..One can wake up one morning just to find out that he/she has been asked to stop breading simply cause of party affiliation but Our Governor and His Wife are NOT concerned about part affiliation, they are concerned about Rebuilding Imo together with our collective efforts.
My Family especially My irreplaceable mother and brother, they are the my bedrock, my backbone, my support system, the reason for the struggle….Ihe dika unu akolam. Thanks to ALL MY DARLING BROTHERS AND SISTERS who put in their time and resources to make sure my Reign is beautiful.
To all the public and private organizations, NGOs, brands, Institutions, I have worked for and with, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my knowledge with you, i have no regrets at all and I look forward to working with you again and again. Thank You🙏
