Mr. Emeka Ihemefor, an aide to Imo Deputy Governor on has lost his father, Engr. Oliver Aguiyi Ihemefor, who died after a protracted illness.
 
Late Ihemefor before his passing was a renowned Engineer who worked with Nigerian Glass Factory in Port-Harcourt before the outbreak of civil war. He also started work with Nigeria Bottling Company, the place he worked as a Senior Plant Engineer until his retirement.

Late Ihemefor was a good family with three children. He was devout Christian of catholic faith, a community leader and a great motivator for his people.
 
According to his son, Mr. Emeka Ihemefor, he said his late father will be finally laid to rest on Friday, December 11, 2015 in his compound in Duruegbuso village, Okwuekiti-Umubu, Umuowa in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo. He was aged 84.
