The Emeritus Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu has congratulated his successor, Sir George Eche on his appointment, describing it as a call to serve the good people of the state.

Sir Ejiogu made this statement Thursday, March 31st, 2016 shortly after the swearing in of the new SGI, Sir George Eche by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha (OON) at the Sam Mbakwe Expanded Exco Chambers, Government House Owerri. He stated that the new SGI, as a devoted public servant has all it takes to perform creditably well in the execution of his duties, and called on staff of the Cabinet Office as well as the entire people of the state to give him the needed support to succeed.

Furthering, Sir Ejiogu therefore commended Governor Rochas Okorocha for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota when he held sway as Adviser on Internally Generated Revenue, Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Chief of Staff, Government House, Commissioner for Special Duties and Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI) respectively.

He therefore thanked God for keeping him all through the period he served the state in various capabilities, promising to continue to make the state a better place to live.

The occasion attracted personalities from all walks of life to inlude, Her Excellency, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Acho Ihim, Member representing Okigwe South in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Chike Okafor, Eze Imo among others.
