Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam has backed new signing Victor Osimhen to be an instant hit at the club.
The Nigeria international joined Napoli after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1 with Lille.
The 21-year-old scored 18 goals and recorded six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions during the his one year stay at the French club.null
Osimhen is already turning heads at Napoli after netting six times in two pre-season outings for Napoli.
He scored a hat-trick in his first appearance for the club against L’Aquilla last week and followed that up with another three goals versus Teramo on Friday.
Ghoulam believes his fellow African can score on a consistent basis for the club.
“We are improving with 4-2-3-1. Osimhen is a great footballer, he will have a lot of fun with his team mates. We hope he scores many goals, his role is very important for the fans,”Ghoulam said after Friday’s 4-0 win against Teramo.
