A member of a notorious gang who specialized in snatching of motor cycles at Afor Atta in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, met his waterloo recently following a mob action which resulted in his death.
Investigation reveals that the robber whose corpse is said to have been deposited in a mortuary at Atta, Njaba LGA by the police, was one of a three-man robbery gang that ambushed a woman and snatched her ladies’ motorcycle in the area.
The incident which occurred on a market day, was said to had prompted some boys on the market to embark on a chase of the robbers with roads around the market blocked. In the process, one of the robbers was said to have been caught and beaten to death. While the other two escaped. The corpse of the dead robber is said to be lying in a mortuary at Atta Njaba as at the time of filing this report.
