The Imo State House of Assembly, on resumption of plenary, Tuesday, May, 2, 2016, during its Committee of Whole, approved the appointment of members of the Board of Imo State Oil Producing Areas’ Development Commission, ISOPADEC with Hon. Chuka Ama Nwauwa from Oguta Local Government Area of the state as chairman.

The state House of Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim, after an exhaustive consideration of the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s nominees to handle the affairs of the oil and gas agency deemed them qualified, having given credence to their intimidating credentials.
Also, giving kudos to the House-adhoc-committee led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo (Nwangele) which screened the governor’s nominees for the appointment even as he on behalf of the Imo State Legislature urged the government appointees in the ISOPADEC not to relent in their service to the state.

Consequently, the Assembly, having adopted the Hon. Ozuruigbo-adhoc-committee’s report as a working document, announced the confirmation of Hon. Ama Nwauwa as chairman of the ISOPADEC.
Members of the ISOPADEC Board are; Prince I.K. Uwakwe (Ohaji/Egbema), Paschal Nwogu (Owerri zone), Francis Igwe (commissioner), Felix Mba (commissioner), Ifeoma Adaobi (commissioner) and Patrick Abanaeme (commissioner, Okigwe).
