Imo State Police Command had conformed that Hon. Ahmed Gulak was killed in Imo by unknown gunmen.
Hon. Gulak who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, was in Owerri where he attended the senate constitution review public hearing at Landmark Center Owerri.
According to police reports, he left his room at Protea hotel without informing the police and was trailed by hoodlums in Ciena van who identified and shot him.
His death comes as a shock following series of attacks on police facilities in the state.
The state police commissioner has ordered full scale investigation in the matter and arrest of the culprits.
The deceased is famous in Imo following his role in the 2019 guber primary elections of the APC in Imo State.
No one knows the reason for his murder and the identity of his killers.
