Indeed, hearing is a function of one’s organ of perception particularly the person’s auditory sense.
A person’s inability to hear, when others do, is largely attributable to a level of distortion to his hearing device, same in a case of optical phenomenon resulting from a failure of the lens to produce a good image.
Good observers and followers of events in recent history in Imo State and Nigeria can hardly say that Distinguished Senator Frank Ibezim representing Imo North has not been heard or is far from his people.
Any statement in this direction can only pass as a clear misrepresentation of facts, an effort to impugn the commendable eloquence and remarkable visibility of Senator Ibezim, in and outside the Senate Chamber, just about one month in office.
It is on record that Senator Ibezim’s voice has not only echoed in the Senate but clearly featured in oversight functions and the recently concluded public hearing on the constitution review where he among other things admonished participants at the event in Owerri, Imo State, to go home and preach peace as a panacea for meaningful development, especially in this period of general insecurities and youth restivenness.
Senator Frank Ibezim further used the occasion of his thanksgiving and dedication service held in his country home of Ehime Mbano on Saturday, May 29th 2021, to confer with the Clergy, Royal Fathers and teaming people of Imo North Senatorial District on the way forward for the zone including the current challenge of insecurity.
Among the stakeholders the Senator interfaced with within this period were the Education Secretaries, Teachers and School Pupils in the zone during the flag off of his Classroom Library Project last week.
There is no doubt that matters of insecurity and strategies for solving them are very technical and far beyond mundane speculations.
While identifying with tactical efforts of the Governor in addressing the present unfortunate development, Senator Frank Ibezim deeply advances his commiserations to all the victims particularly our relatives and security agents who have lost their loved ones from the backlash of the regrettable inferno.
The Almighty God will give our people and all concerned the great fortitude to bear these unexpected losses.
Apart from the aforementioned personal engagements, Senator Frank Ibezim, being a national stakeholder, was conspicuous and remains signatory to the position of the South East National Assembly Caucus which decried attacks on security formations, violent agitations and killings in the region hitherto known for calm, love and peaceful disposition.
The Distinguished Senator and his National Assembly colleagues are not oblivious of the increasing agitations for restructuring of Nigeria and support for Biafra due to perceived and real issues of inequities, injustice and marginalization, which resolution the leaders across board, agreed must be in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, peaceful and devoid of violence.
lndividuals and groups, irrespective of political affiliations, must consciously disengage all shades of conflagrating blackmail and divisive tendency as we truthfully toe the line of peace and Justice for our general good.
May our zone, state and country continue to prevail to the glory of God.
