Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has reacted to Callum Hudson-Odoi’s decision to snub the call up to the England U21 team.
Tuchel said he would not interfere, adding that it was Hudson-Odoi’s decision to reject the chance to play for England.
DAILY POST reports that the winger recently turned down the opportunity to represent England’s Under-21 side.
The 20-year-old was rather expecting a call-up to the senior national team.
Speaking on the development ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Leicester City on Saturday afternoon, Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “It is Callum’s choice and I will not interfere. If there is something to decide, then he needs to decide.
“The next chance is tomorrow, if he gets minutes, he needs to take them to let that quality speak for itself.
“We have to respect his decision and everybody has their own way of approaching things.”
