A Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt has remanded two suspects, Kenneth Sylvanus and Chijioke Ogbonna, who are linked to the beheading of a 9-year-old boy in Isiokpo community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The court also directed the prosecutor to liaise with relevant authorities and produce the third suspect Chibuzor Amadi on the next adjourned date.

Sylvanus and Ogbonna, are standing trial on a three-count charge bordering on the murder of one Destiny Peter, a 9-year-old in Isiokpo community.

The first accused person, Kenneth Sylvanus, has already pleaded guilty to the charge even when it has not been read.

The prosecutor informed the court that the statement of the first accused mentioned one Chibuzor Amadi as a collaborator in the case and wondered why he was granted administrative bail by the police.

In his ruling, the chief Magistrate I. F Iyabo remanded the two suspects and directed the prosecutor to liaise with the Attorney General’s office to produce the third suspect Chibuzor Amadi on the next adjourned date- Monday, December 6, 2021.
