However, The Plot Was Neutralized, And To The Glory Of Almighty God, There Is A New, Purposeful, Visionary, Experienced, Rugged And Ready-To-Work Leadership At The Legislative Arm Of Government, Ably Led By A Pragmatic, Ebullient And Outstanding Legislator Per Excellence, Rt Honourable Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh.
Pained That The Imo State House Of Assembly Is Now On One Solid Page, With Our Lawmakers Constitutionally Executing The Assignments (Lawmaking, Appropriation And Oversight), For Which They Were Elected, These Political Buccaneers And Vuvuzelas Have Started Gathering Again, To Throw Spanners On The Wheels Of Legislative Progress. This Time Around, They Are Attempting To Instigate Crisis Of Confidence And Trust Between Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh And His Loyal Deputy, Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu.
My Attention Has Therefore Been Drawn To A Mischievously Sponsored Front Page Publication Of NIGERIAN NEWSGUIDE NEWSPAPER EDITION OF NOVEMBER 30-7 DECEMBER 2021 With The Above Caption. In The Said Publication, Those Tirelessly Plotting To Destabilize The IMHA And State Raised A False Alarm That Ndimo Wants Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Removed As Deputy Speaker Of IMHA, Stating That He Ought To Have Been Removed Alongside The Immediate Past Speaker, Rt Honourable Paul Emeziem. Not Done, They Warned Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh To Be Careful On How He Relates With His Deputy, Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu.
Ordinarily, I Would Have Ignored This Publication, But After A Careful And Deep Analysis Of What These Political Buccaneers Are Up To, I Have Decided To Confront The Issues Raised, By Setting The Record Straight, So As Not To Give A Fertile Ground For Distrust, Lack Of Confidence And Legislative Disrespect To Germinate.
In The First Place, Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh Is An Experienced, Tested And Trusted Legislator, Who Understands His Enormous Responsibilities As Speaker. Hence, Immediately After His Emergence As Speaker, He Set In Motion A Module Of Reconciliation And Unity Among His Distinguished Honourable Colleagues. And In Less Than One Month Of His Speakership, All His Colleagues Are Already Operating On One Solid Page. This Can Be Seen On The Number Of People Oriented Bills And Motions Being Sponsored At Plenary, Including The Screening And Clearance Of Commissioner Nominees.

According To The Publication, “Every Politically Enlightened Person In Imo And Outside Imo Knows That Rt Honourable Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu Is The Defacto Speaker Of Imo State House Of Assembly, And Any Speaker Elected Anytime Must Worship At His Feet Or Face Sack……………. They Submitted That Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu Should Be Removed Immediately”. Unquote…. The Picture (Plot) Is To Build Mistrust And Suspicion Between The Speaker And His Loyal Deputy.
Let Me At This Point Declare That The Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh Will Remain The Speaker Of IMHA, Till June 2023. Also, Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Will Remain Deputy Speaker Of IMHA, Till June 2023. The Right To Remove The Speaker Or Deputy Speaker Does Not Rest With Those Plotting To Destabilize The IMHA. Neither Does It Rest With Ndimo. Rather, It Rests With The Distinguished Honourable Members Of IMHA, Who Are Already On One Unbreakable And “Untearable” Page And Accord With The Speaker And His Deputy. Rt Honourable Kennedy Ibeh And Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Are Legislative Twin Brothers, Who Are Working Together, For The Good Of The State.
The Imo State House Of Assembly Is On Short Legislative Recess, And Will Resume On The 7th Of December 2021, To Continue With Its Legislative Responsibility To The People Of Imo State. The House Is Enjoying Peace And Stability, And There Is Legislative Harmony And Mutual Respect Among Distinguished Honourable Members.
