A Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain in Kaduna State, Dr. Moses Morroco has said the Buhari led APC government has not lived up to its promises of securing the lives and properties of citizens.

He alleged that President Buhari’s recent desire for a prosperous, peaceful and united nation before he leaves office in 2022 was far from the truth since he failed to stop bandits and criminals terrorising the nation for the past seven years.

Dr. Morocco while speaking to DAILY POST in Kaduna on Tuesday expressed disappointment with the present government saying, he will never trust the government for any promises made since it has not fulfilled its past promises.

Morroco alleged that Buhari’s disciples introduced criminals at the peak of Former President Jonathan’s government, to take over leadership in 2015, and to date has no solution to stopping them.

He averred that banditry and other criminal activities have continued to increase, with criminals having access to more sophisticated weapons.

President Muhammadu Buhari had during a dinner in honour of the 2022 Committee of Business, Political, Media and Civil Society Leaders at the State House, Abuja, on Monday told the world that, he desired to leave behind a legacy of a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria when he leaves office in 2023.

Dr. Morrocco who is a lecturer at the Federal University Gusau said there could be no peace, nor prospects when bandits have continued to terrorise people.

He said there cannot be peace when unemployment, poverty and division based on religion have continued among many Nigerians.

” It’s unfortunate that the APC led government has come to stay and arrogate more and more power to itself. How would there be peace when bandits continue to kidnap, demand ransom and even when the ransom is paid, the victim’s life is not assured.

“There can never be prospects when bandits drain people’s pocket by demanding for ransom.”
