Imo State Police Command has arrested on Dr. Fedelis Chukwujindu for allegedly operating an illegal university in Ogboke, Ideato South LGA of the state.

Conducting newsmen around the alleged illegal university, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Musa Muhammed Katsina said that Dr. Chukwujindu was arrested while conducting entrance examination for about 576 victims.
Mr. Katsina averred that the accused collected N8,000.00 each from his victims.
The Imo CP told newsmen that Dr. Chukwujindu claimed to a United States of America trained medical doctor, but later confessed not to have been a medical doctor but was practicing based on his little knowledge about medicine.
The police chief said that Dr. Chukwujindu intentional chose a site adjacent Rochas Foundation College Ogboko, to deceive his victims.
Mr. Katsina posited that the accused fake doctor wrote on the sign post, that the institution is government approved, while it is not.
He informed that the institution goes with the name University College Hospital, Ogboko offering courses in medical related courses.
Mr. Katsina who expressed worry over such level of deceit, said that the police will continue to make sure that the future of the youths are secure.
The Imo CP said that the police will not rest on its oars in fighting criminals.
Mr. Katsina said that the suspect will soon be charged to court.
Speaking to newsmen, Dr. Chukwujindu confessed that he has no certificate in medicine but said he never intended to defraud candidates.
He said that the university had not taken off before he was arrested but was working towards making the institution a standard one.
Some candidates who spoke to newsmen said that they were carried away because, the suspect told them that the university was in line with Governor Rochas Okorocha’s free education in the state.
Miss Opara Adaeze and Promise Duru said that with the desire to go to school and the antics the suspect displayed, they could not discover his plots.
