There are strong indications that some loyalists and political foot-soldiers of former Governor Rochas Okorocha have concluded talks with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The group is said to be led by a former governorship hopeful, who is leading some members of the House of Reps, serving and former state lawmakers in the APC, who belong to the Okorocha political family.

A source in the know told INNONEWS “Sooner or later, majority of Okorocha’s men, particularly those eying offices either for the first time or seeking re election in 2023, will cross over to the PDP. The talks have been concluded

Former Governor Rochas Okorocha had on Monday declared his intention to run for President in 2023.

Most of his loyalists, never took part in the APC membership and revalidation exercise orchestrated by the camp of Governor Hope Uzodimma, who now has total control of the party in the State.

Okorocha and Uzodimma feud has led to fierce altercations between the duo and this is said to be the reason why Okorocha’s loyalists are now seeking political refuge elsewhere since it is evidently clear that they have no political future in the APC in the State.

Last December, Okorocha met former Governor Emeka Ihedioha, leader of the PDP in Imo State, at the funeral of the mother of  Uche Nwosu at Eziama Obire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State, feuling speculations that an alliance is in the offing.
