The CEO of Cribs Apartment a real estate company based in Port Harcourt,Hon.Tega Nze has stated that every Nigerian needs a comfortable home of their own.
He stated this on an online TV talk show ABSO BABA LIVE where he highlighted that one of the major challenges for housing in the country is because there are no national policies that drives adequately in ensuring that individuals or developers can develop and own houses that are comfortable and affordable without bottle necks issues such as the Land Use act which he mentioned to be one of the major problems on housing across the country.
This he stated in an exclusive interview on ABSO BABA LIVE ,where he mentioned that the last research dated far back 1986 showed that Nigeria was in a deficit on housing to about 22 million with the population of about 105 million and is estimated to 300million in 30 years from then.
Furthermore he illustrated that government must see the need to make housing very paramount particularly in developing policies that will aid Land acquisition and housing development of which he pointed out the rigorous processes involved in Land acquisition and development in the country today.
